Couple weeks ago me and mum did a quick trip to Hong Kong.
It has been our thing for the last few years. We like to search for not so expensive ticket and go to HKG once a year.
And all we do is shopping, shopping and shopping 😆
This time we stayed at Lodgewood L’hotel, located in Mongkok. It’s a relatively new hotel, so everything’s still so clean and shiny. 😀
We love this hotel. Conveniently located not too far from Mongkok MTR station (exit A2) and Langham Place. They also have free shuttle bus from and to Kowloon station. And there’s a grab to go breakfast station in the lobby where you can get your morning coffee and some muffin or bread for free. We will definitely go back to this hotel next year (let’s hope the rate will stay the same 😀 ).
We arrived in HKG on Saturday afternoon. After checking in at the hotel and put our stuff at the room, we went to Hong Kong Industrial Center (in Lai Chi Kok area). This is one of our favorite place to shop in HKG. My guess is that the shops Mangga Dua get their stuff from here. It’s cheap and you can get good quality products since there are soooo many shops. We spent 4 hours there (until they are closed :-D).
The next day we went to City Gate Outlet. This is also our favorite place to shop. They have quite numerous of branded items in the outlet. And as always, shopping in City Gate is not complete without buying Coach bag(s). 😆
We spent half day at the outlet. And on the afternoon we went to Langham Place and the surroundings in Mongkok area. More damage to my wallet -___-
Our flight on the next day was on 2 PM. So we left the hotel at 9.30 AM. We took the free shuttle bus to the Kowloon station. The nice thing about Kowloon station is that you can check in on the spot and drop your luggage. Very convenient. That way you don’t have to drag around your luggage with you. We took the airport express train to the airport and did some more shopping while waiting for boarding time.
It was a quick but really nice trip with my mum (although not so nice on the financial point of view ).
Look forward to our annual trip next year 😉
Some pics during our trip.
